Network Troubleshooting
Introduction

  • Troubleshooting a network problem can be a daunting endeavour.

  • With a structured, logical approach, the root cause, or causes, of a problem can be identified and, usually, addressed.

  • With a disciplined approach and methodology, and a good habit of documenting problems and solutions,
as well as changes to the network resources, timely and efficient problem solving is possible.

  • This tutorial gives an overview of the approach recommended by the CompTIA guidelines for Network+ certification,
and a suggested set of tools that a Network Administrator/Professional should have at hand.
